Korean Food In Tokyo & My New Favorite Hostess
I have found a decent Korean restaurant along the Ginza Corridor in Tokyo that is open late [enough] and has a very friendly staff. The food is a Japanese version of Korean that is not too far from the real thing and the variety is great though as anyone who knows me well enough might guess, I order the same thing almost without fail. I have been a half dozen times now and only once have I not ordered the same meal.
Last night I brought two colleagues, one of whom was visiting from Chicago. Everyone enjoyed their meal and was equally satisfied with my new favorite hostess. I needed to replace my Singaporean favorite from the Wine Garage in Singapore and I think this cheerful and radiant woman fits the bill because she always musters a hearty "good night" with a perfect gringo accent when I leave.
Now, if only Tokyo would outlaw smoking in restaurants and bars like the rest of the sensible places in the world.
